I am a painter and a photographer. I see my work as an opportunity to use the artistic process to explore different forms of energy. I am inspired by the beauty of light and I frequently choose to work with the shape of the human head.
My arts education has been varied, and I have studied drawing and painting since childhood, as well as photography, ceramics, watercolor, collage and portraiture. Most recently, I have been privileged to study painting with Stan Brodsky, the figure with Betty Holliday, modernism with Bob Yasuda, and conceptual art with Paul Pagk.
I live and work on Long Island and in Key West, Florida. My paintings and photographs have been exhibited in NYC, Key West, and at venues all over Long Island, including the Parrish Art Museum in Southampton, the Heckscher Museum of Art in Huntington, the Islip Museum of Art and at Huntington’s Alpan Gallery in their International Exhibition of 2005.
